Second Stage: "Make Sure It's Me"

New this season to FAC Theatre is the addition of the Second Stage performances, which will run in addition to our main stage plays and musicals. The season opener of the Second Stage four-production season is Make Sure It's Me, a dramatic work by fiction author and playwright, Kate Wenner.

Make Sure It's Me has an intimate tie to Colorado Springs, as Wenner began her research at Fort Carson. Modern-day warfare has contributed to the increase in non-traditional post-war symptoms, most notably PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. 2012 is the second-year in a row where more American soldiers have lost their lives to suicide rather than death in combat. Make Sure It's Me was named No. 9 in CultureWest's Top 11 "most intriguing titles" of the upcoming fall theater season in Colorado. Join us for the inauguration of the Music Room as the Theatre's Second-Stage for this production that hits close to home.

We'll be featuring an audience TalkBack after the Fri., Sept. 14 performance, featuring the playwright and activist and military wife, Amber Nicodemus.
