LECTURE | Prologue: Sarah Ruhl

No stranger to FAC Theatre, Sarah Ruhl was playwright of last season's Colorado premier of In the Next Room (Or the Vibrator Play) -- and she is back in the Springs for a free lecture by Theatreworks. This series includes lectures by playwrights, roundtable discussions and workshops.

To build excitement for Colorado Springs' only celebration of the Day of the Dead, Cottonwood is hosting a Q&A with FAC Permanent Collection artist, and so-called "Dean of the Dead," Jerry Vigil. Also learn about opportunities to get involved with Day of the Dead celebrations.

MUSIC | Saxophonist Houston Person in Concert

Thurs., 10/11 | 7:30 p.m.
$20 ($15 KRCC Members. $25 at door) at Colorado College, Packard Hall
Jazz saxophonist Houston Person is 79 and still actively touring, after releasing a studio album entitled "So Nice" in 2011. Backing Pearson will be two instructors from University of Colorado at Boulder, Jeff Jenkins on piano and Paul Romaine on drums; and University of Denver instructor, Ken Walker on bass.
