"Art brings about healing."
-Kim Nguyen, AspenPointe
The FAC, in partnership with Gentiva Hospice and AspenPointe Enterprises, is hosting two FREE, three-hour workshops on June 29th at the Bemis School of Art for children who are coping with the loss of a loved one. Space is limited, and registration ends on June 15th.
Each child will create a Memory Book that they can take home and continue filling with thoughts and images. No previous art experience is necessary.
"It does not matter how old you are, how much you know or don't know about creating," said Kim Nguyen, AspenPointe's Creative Program Manager, "It's more because of what you have been through; the creative expressions will bring forth the subconscious and help balance whether it's daily stresses or traumatic shock. Art brings about healing."
Sign up today by calling Marilyn Willis at 719.573.4166.
